This past week I had the pleasure of speaking with Mariza Taillefer, a fellow expat (she’s lived in São Paulo since 2011) and creator of Abroad Podcast. Each week she chats with people living around the world, giving them a platform to share their experiences, why they moved abroad, and how they’ve settled in.
These interviews provide a great advice about what it’s like to be an expat in different locations; her interviews are interesting and my fingers are crossed that she’s talked with someone who’s lived in our future hometown! During my chat with Mariza, we talked over a lot of questions that any person facing a move to Colombia (or perhaps a visit!) would have: about preconceptions of what life in Colombia looks like, about safety, and how to adapt to living in a new culture and language.
Visit abroadpodcast.com to stream or download our conversation, and be sure to check out some of the other interesting interviews, but only after you listen to and share mine!
